How do you refer in written communication to an attribute or element which might occur in more than one element? For example, in the following ...
<person sex="female <br/>
<firstname>Anna</firstname><br/>
<lastname>Smith</lastname><br/>
< /person>
... how would you refer to sex and distinguish it from sex used in another element? Like maybe there is a pet element somewhere in the document and you want to be clear about the fact that you are talking about the sex attribute of person rather than
the sex attribute or element of pet. I expect that there is at least a common convention that is shorter than "the sex attribute of the person element".
Thanks, Bob
