how to generate points on the curve if start point, end point, x radius, y radius and direction is k

Hello,
I have an application which allows user to draw an elliptical arc; user needs to provide start point, end point, X radius, Y radius and direction.
Given this, after drawing an arc, I want to generate n points on the arc.
What is the formula for generating such points?
