Yes, I know this is not possible and yes, I know this is by design (per
Microsoft). The workaround is to establish a remote session from the console
to itself, then remote control the other session.

Why is this by design? What is this trying to prevent? This is a limitation
for no apparent reason (IMHO).

Other than using Citrix, is there a workaround? A reg hack?

Re: remote control a TS session from the console

Can you please share with us more detail on your scenario?
Does the work-around you suggested work for you ?
What machines/OS are you running?
Thanks

Re: remote control a TS session from the console

Always wondered that myself. It would seem foolish to think it is a
security issue of some sort seeing how you can monitor and interact from
another RDP session.

I am guessing that it is a functionality issue. Maybe they just can't get a
console session to view the RDP session because they can only pass the
screen movements through RDP.
