Because of the decline in the flash & flex industry, my goal is to transition over to the ASP.Net world. Ive been an AS3(which is an OOP language) developer for 4 years. AS3 and C# have a lot in common, which is one of the reasons I chose this
path. I have experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (hence the reason for choosing ASP.Net). I dont have a compsci or math degree, so Im looking to get a certification in order to prove I know the subject. I have no problem studying
books, but I learn better by doing rather than reading.
Ive already started reading Visual C# 2010 by John Sharp. After talking to some of my friends (who are .Net developers), Ive come to the conclusion that some of what Im reading may not necessarily apply to my end goal.
So my question to everyone here is:
In your opinion and based on your experience, what path would be the best path to take? If you suggest books, what books would you suggest? If you suggest classes or online training, then which ones?
Any help is much appreciated.
