Hi,

What is the different between Remote Desktop and Terminal service?

If I install Terminal service, Do I still need enable "Enable Remote Desktop
on this computer " option in system properties ?

thanks .

Re: remote desktop and Terminal service

Remote Desktop for Administration allows a maximum of 2 (+1)
connections to the server, by default for Administrators only,
without extra licensing requirements.

Terminal Services (sometimes called "Application mode TS") allows
for as many concurrent normal users as your hardware can support.
You will need a TS Licensing Server and a purchased TS CAL for
every connecting user or computer.
After you install TS, you will still have 1 free connection to the
console for an Administrator. And Remote Desktop must be enabled,
also after you install TS.
