Migrated from 2000 to 2003 some time ago. TS 2000 licenses now on the license
server along with newly registered TS 2003 license packs. Can anyone please
tel me how I can remove the TS 2000 licenses from the 2003 license server?
Thanks.

Re: Removing TS 2003 Licensing Packs

You cannot remove installed licenses from a TS Licensing Server,
other than by wiping the LS database and starting all over again.
That would mean that you would have to call the Clearinghouse to get
your 2003 license pack re-issued.
I'd just let those W2K licenses be, they can't harm you.

Re: Removing TS 2003 Licensing Packs

Thanks Vera

However I have installed a Volume Licenced Office 2007 on the TS and now get
the message "This copy of Microsoft Office cannot be used on Terminal Server"
when attempting to open the application. Do you believe this to be due to the
2000 licenses on the Terminal Server since I have not seen a compatibility
list indicating problems with Office 2007 and Terminal Server 2003. Office
2003 worked fine before. I appreciate your help.

Re: Removing TS 2003 Licensing Packs

Hi Morne,

Please make certain that you are using installation media that
is clearly marked as an Office 2007 volume license version and
a matching volume license Product Key (usually obtained from
the eOpen site).

You will need to uninstall the version of Office 2007 that you
currently have installed.

Thanks.

Re: Removing TS 2003 Licensing Packs

As addition: here's the KB article which documents the problem:

924622 - Error message when you try to start a 2007 Office program
within a Terminal Server client session: "This copy of Microsoft
Office <Program> cannot be used on Terminal Server"
