Hi to all,
I have problem in opening my sql server 2005. I cant tell what is the servername of my pc. and the sql server browser service is not displaying any localserver name. Please see the paragraph below:
If the SQL Server Browser service is not running, you are still able to connect to SQL Server if you provide the correct port number or named pipe. For instance, you can connect to the default instance of SQL Server with TCP/IP if it is running on port 1433.
I got this from the online help...how can i find the default instance of sql server w/ tcp/ip and the port it says. Please help. Thanks in advance. <hr class="sig jocker > im learning
