Hi

Whenever I bootup my PC, the Window 98 screen will appear and the blue line
below will run. After awhile, the blue line stops and the system
hangs.Sometimes it restart itself and them hangs while the window 98 screen
is running.

Any one have advise or solution to repair this problem.

1. Back up essential data and configurations.
2. Run Disk Cleanup and eliminate wasted space (in
Temp. Internet or Temp files, Recycled Bin etc.)
3. Read carefully how to reinstal at
http://home.satx.rr.com/badour/html/backup.html
4. Reinstal Win98

Start the computer, tap the F8 key repeatedly until the startup menu
appears and select "Command Prompt only". Then type
"scanreg /restore", press "Enter", use the "Up/Down" arrow keys to
select a registry marked "Started" and press "Enter".

Use XPs Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.

You might want to start a new thread with this. Also, as mentioned by
another poster, try importing the files from within XP.
