Using Visual Studio 2010 SP1 Professional, I have created a Winform project ( NOT a web project). I have the following installed:
<ol>
<span style="line-height:normal; font-family:Times New Roman; font-size:7pt
SQL Server Compact 4.0 SP1<span style="line-height:normal; font-family:Times New Roman; font-size:7pt
Installed all the components from Web Platform installer from http://www.microsoft.com/web/gallery/install.aspx?appid=webmatrix" target="_blank
here :<span style="line-height:normal; font-family:Times New Roman; font-size:7pt
SQL Server Compact Toolbox 3.1.1 from http://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/0e313dfd-be80-4afb-b5e9-6e74d369f7a1/" target="_blank
here :</ol>
But in VS2010 when I go to “Add New Data Source”, the wizard, in one step, the wizard asks for choosing a data source from a dialog box shown below:
<img alt="" src="http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/getfile/216151
As you can see, this dialog box is missing the option for SQL Server Compact 4.0. What else do I need to do in order for this option to show up in the above dialog box? My intent is to drag a table from the data source shown in the “Data Sources” explorer
in VS2010 to a Winform that would automatically create a DataGridView connecting to that table in the data source. All this was possible when using SQL Server Compact 3.5
<span style="line-height:115%; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif; font-size:11pt Please help. Thanks..Nam
