I have tested Server2003 and TS and the only problem I had with that was
with Act2000 and Word 2000 NOT playing nice together without admin rights to
the user.
Figuring that was a relatively minor issue and fixable, I ordered a new
server for our TS installation.
I have the new server with 2003R2 and TS installed (no other roles on the
server). I followed MS's article on how to install TS and the applications.
Now, on the server, Act2000 and Word2000 run together nicely (loged in as
admin) without problems. This is a member server behind a SBS2003 box but so
was the test setup.
When I log into TS remotely, they again don't play nice together, even
logged in with admin rights. I get a runtime error and Word won't even
launch. So I followed the suggestions on Vera's website about logging on as
an admin that never logged in, and launched Word, but that didn't help
either. Again, on the server, it works OK and ACT works OK with it.
I DID install all of the applications using install mode for TS as stated in
both Vera's site and MS's.
ALSO, IE does not work either on the server or when logged into a TS
session. It won't go to Microsofts site at all and Google displays a bunch
of garbage when I try to go there on either the server or in the TS session.
And trying a MS Update, freezes IE.
I didn't have any problem with IE when I did the test installation.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
