To take advantage of the elastic nature of the Windows Azure platform, youd want your application to automatically handle changes in the load levels over time and to scale accordingly. This will help to meet necessary SLAs and also reduce the number of manual tasks that the IT/Pros must perform, while staying on budget. In this talk, well provide an overview of how this can be accomplished with the Autoscaling Application Block ("Wasabi"). Well demo how monitoring and autoscaling can be set up with constraint and reactive rules. Well also discuss scale groups, application throttling and notification actions as well as the optimizing stabilizer to prevent reactive rules from performing erratic scaling actions and to make sure that these actions correspond to the most optimal compute hour charges.
