Hello All,
I am trying to convert a php project into asp.net. I have come across microsoft migration tool that allows this to happen. I do understand that is does not convert the entire project and just portions. I do also understand that i must also after converting update the frameware etc. Currently i have download and installed all the applications that i have understood as needed. I have visual studio 2003 and 2010, i have the migration tool installed, i have install the front page extentions and also several asp.net frame works including 1.1. However when i go to convert using the tool i get an error stating that internet information server is not installed. This happens before i can even get to select any application or project.
I have played around with making sure that the iss has the correct settings for the default site. but for some reason the visual studio seems to not be recognizing the ISS 7 installed. I dont know what other options to try. I have tried command prompt scripts that keep saying that they can not find path. So that is a no go.
any help would be appreciated.
