Hi
Im a part-time programmer. I just write c# utilities when I need to, to help me in my IT Support role.
So far Ive read about 4 c# books but still not very fluent. I find that I constantly have to keep looking things up. When I watch a YouTube clip on how to do c#, Im amazed to see how fluent other programmers are in the language. Some people just seem to real off what they know and Ive never seen this kind of stuff shown in a book.
I went onto http://www.dotnetperls.com/books where it was recommended to learn the MS C# Specification to be a good programmer. In particular its recommended that
The C# Programming Language
by
Anders Hejlsberg (Author), Mads Torgersen (Author), Scott Wiltamuth (Author), Peter Golde (Author)
The books I bought so far just cover c# at a beginner or intermediate level. Ive never thought to attack c# at the Specification level.
Could anyone recommend if I should learn c# at the Specification level to enable me to become a better programmer. Would anyone recommend this book or do you think that it might be too much for me to take on (as I only do c# every now and then but would love to do more in order be more fluent at it) .
Much appreciated to anyone who can give me some advice about what level I should learn c#.
Kind Regards
Matt
