This is for the people at MicroSoft.
There are people out here working on the disease the will kill you. Theyre trying to use your crappy products to this. All the needy greedy arrogant crap MicroSoft indulges in is getting in their way, wasting their time in a very big way.
I hope we find the cure for each disease the day after the particlar MS gnome responsibe for the wasted time on that particular disease dies. It is happening mofos! you are delaying wasting the time for the people who would have saved you!the
The same goes for all the people at Adobe, JAVA and Mozilla. I cant beleive all the time thier and MSs constant update crap has wasted on this project. At this point I have actually spent more time configuring and updating two boxes than I have wrting the app. And if I can get the crappy file IO figured out Ill be done wrting the app in a couple days. With more time wasted on everyones needy greedy crap than I actually spent on the app.
I spend as much time waiting on the hourglass mouse cursor now as I did with Windows 3.1 on a 12 MHz 286, likely more. This is just plain stupid. My box is a thousand times more powerful now but all the bigger pigger code is just eating up any processor gains over the past 20 years. Porgrammers at MS and the other big players are just getting lazy in the head or just not up to codebusting at the professional level. Relying on processor power to make up for their lack of capacity in the field.
IT is in a very very very sorry state. Its approaching a Tower of Babble or Tyranny of Numbers condition. All these big fat bloated idiot players like MicroSoft and those mentioned above are going to come crashing down when the the new paradigm is found! Im tempted to start work on this just to spare my colleagues in bioinformatics the time theyll waste in current environments. These PCs would make kick ass science stations if someone wrote a 64 bit DOS for them. Flat memory model, single tasking at current clock rates with the big hard drives. It wouldnt be hard! Ive seen other engineers do this GUI and all on other platforms.
LINUX and Ubuntu are headed the same was as MS. Too many flavours every release bigger and pigger. LINUX is a bloated overcomplicated piece of crap too.
