My MS-DOS window won't stay open!
When it opens and I start my old DOS program [Lucid3D]
within a minute I get the following message and the window closes:

Winoldap
This program has performed an illegal operation
and will be shut down.

If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.
Details>>
WINOLDAP caused an invalid page fault in
module KCHOOKS.DLL at 0167:011a10e3.

How do I overcome this problem? Thanks

The catch is that WINOLDAP is not a separate programme but
merely a function of Win98. If this concerns any DOS function
or app you have run before, suspect KCHOOKS i.e. rename it
immediately with prefix x and rebooot, then run a virus & spyware
check, then let the error messages (KCHOOKS not found because
you have renamed it xKCHOOKS) tell you where it originated
and where to delete its Registry file calls.
