Is there a way to selectively tune how Security Center Alerts Me?

I want to be alerted for problems with everything *but* UAC.

Hi Timothy,

This tutorial will show you how to change the Security Center alert
notifications.

However, this does not affect UAC. You can elevate your Adiministrator
accounts privilege level to stop getting UAC pop-ups and still leave UAC
on. This tutorial will show you how to do this.
