What is the difference between win32 empty project and general empty project in visual c++...

Good day,

I am currently using visual c++ express 2008,

I know that clr projects are used to make .NET applications,

win32 projects are for native application,

but there is another type of project called general->empty project.

I am wondering what is the difference between
win32 empty project (Win32 Project where empty project checkbox is checked)

and

general empty project?
