I have been using IronRuby for systems administration tasks and have found that the .NET integration brings added benefit to an already very productive programming language. Why doesnt Microsoft develop and support this language (IronRuby)? I have re-scripted several of my projects in IronPython and found that IronPython requires more code to actually manipulate .NET objects (network interfaces). I actually have not been able to get IronPython to successfully accomplish what I have done in IronRuby. I use both Python and Ruby in the Linux world, so I am more than familiar with both languages syntax.

If someone from Microsoft is reading this question, please put in a vote for IronRuby at the next board meeting. :)
