Hi, retired hobby-user with limited experience needing some assistance.
I tried sqlserver 2014 express and decided to purchase the dev product. I order it, download it and install it. I then bring up SSMS to backup the existing express server Dbs with a view to restoring them on my dev node. In SSMS I can B/U three of five Dbs but two give me an error stating they are formatted for 512 sector size and now on a device of 4096. The only difference between these is I expect I may have created the two which will not backup on Visual Studio SQL Server Object Explorer. All five (5) Db backup files show on the same Crogram Files directory. How can they be formatted to different sector sizes?
Any recommendations on how I can move these Dbs to the new SQL Server 2014 Dev Server would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.
