Hi, retired hobby-user with limited experience needing some assistance.
I tried sqlserver 2014 express and decided to purchase the dev product. I order it, download it and install it. I then bring up SSMS to backup the existing express server Dbs with a view to restoring them on my dev node. In SSMS I can B/U three of five Dbs but two give me an error stating they are formatted for 512 sector size and now on a device of 4096. The only difference between these is I expect I may have created the two which will not backup on Visual Studio SQL Server Object Explorer. All five (5) Db backup files show on the same C
rogram Files directory. How can they be formatted to different sector sizes?
Any recommendations on how I can move these Dbs to the new SQL Server 2014 Dev Server would be appreciated.
