SetThreadExecutionState(ES_CONTINUOUS | ES_SYSTEM_REQUIRED | ES_DISPLAY_REQUIRED); not working

I am trying to prevent the system from getting to sleep mode and to prevent monitor from turing off.

But this api is not working properly in this case

can you suggest any better solutions
