Hi there,
I'm currently trying to create an installer project for a VS 2017 solution that contains 3 projects. As far as I'm aware, I've followed the guides I've found perfectly, but despite successfully building the 3 projects, the 4th (Installer Project) starts to build the msi, but then fails with "ERROR: Unrecoverable build error".
I've looked at several other questions online relating to this generic error with no solution found. I have attempted installing the latest version of VS 2017, uninstalling and reinstalling the extension for VS 2017, re-registering MergeMod.dll, checking the project for duplicate folder names, ensuring any other VS IDE windows are closed.
All of the above steps are the detailed steps available on the MSDN library but are not sufficient enough to debug this error.
I have also left messages on a couple of other answers asking for assistance to no avail.
Could I please get some support on how to resolve this error.
Thanks,
