The computer being worked on is Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1 with an existing Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2013 installation build number 12.0.21005.13
My understanding is that a Visual Studio 2013 update 5 build number should be 12.0.40629.0
To update it vs2013.5.iso was downloaded from https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=519391 - VS2013.5.exe opened from the iso launched the Update5 gui, took around an hour to complete the update, claimed it completed and pc must be rebooted which has been done.
Programs/Features and a pc inventory tool we run shows Visual Studio Professional 2013 build number on this is still 12.0.21005.13.
Should we be seeing that build number increment after running the update 5 iso?
The one change on this machine since running the iso update has been "Entity Framework Tools for Visual Studio 2013 - 12.0.20912.0" is now "Entity Framework 6.1.3 Tools for Visual Studio 2013 - 12.0.40302.0" but I don't know if that change came from the iso or windows updates run afterwards. Thanks for any suggestions
