Hi. I have not coded for a while, but I wanted to put back up a web page with some games that I wrote a several years ago using C# in visual studio.
So, I asked a few questions from a host in a chat window. They said that I need a VPS package. As I recall, that should not be necessary. When I wrote it, all I needed was a Windows platform instead of a Linux base.
My site won't get much traffic. I doubt anyone ever even visited it when it was up. Still, I want to be able to put it back and play around with it. I am looking at InterServer.com and possibly BlueHost.com. They have a ASPnet package that I think will do the job, but I thought that I should ask so I dont purchase what I can't use.
In the end, I plan for a Wordpress, MediaWIki, MS C# site, and maybe a few more. These are not going to be money makers, so I am looking at keeping the costs down.
InterServer has a Linix package (they suggested for the non coding pages), and an windows server package, and an AspNet package (InterServerLink). I'm not buying multiple packages. I am not sure the difference between the Windows and the AspNet one.
So, here, I bow to the wisdom of others.
Thanks
