Everytime I connect or reconnect to the wireless internet, it turns off
Windows Firewall. If I'm away from the computer and it disconnectection. and
reconnects, the firewall shuts off and my computer is sitting there with no
protection. Anyone know how to fix this? I'm running Windows Vista.

RE: Windows firewall

How do you know the Windows FW is off?

Re: Windows firewall

Thie red warning shield pops up that it shut down. I'm not a newbie but this
has me
baffled. I saw a woman had this same problem back in August but I don't see
any responses to fix the problem.

Have you tried resetting the FW with the netsh command? The same procedures
that can be found using Goole to rest XP'S FW apply to Vista and its FW.
