Hello,

I have been trying to find the correct way to set up VS Community for a school. The students are too young to have the accounts that are required after the 30 trial period.

I ended up talking to 3 different billing / licensing departments this morning and they all shuffled me off to other departments. At one point I was even directed to technical support and they were equally useless.

I would think that microsoft would make it a little easier for there development product to make it into a school. This would make it more likely that the next generation of developers would lean toward there product rather than the other options that are normally used in education.

The way I see it, I have three options.

  1. Create an account for the school and all the students use it.
  2. Get Microsoft to help me properly license the software for the school.
  3. Something I haven't thought off.

I don't even know if options 2 and 3 are actually options since I have not been able to find anyone at microsoft willing to help me.

I apologize if this is the wrong forum and for the rant.

edit: I realize I forgot to pose a question. Does anyone know who I can talk to about this?
