I am a newbie so I might not be wording my question correctly. I am using the latest version of Visual Studio Code.

If anyone is familiar with Matlab and its editor window where <g class="gr_ gr_1174 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins doubleReplace replaceWithoutSep" data-gr-id="1174" id="1174">code</g> is written, the command window where <g class="gr_ gr_1240 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins doubleReplace replaceWithoutSep" data-gr-id="1240" id="1240">code</g> is tested, and workspace window that shows the current status of all variables;

1. As I write javascript code, I want to test-run snippets of my code in a command window to make sure they run error-free, and to run variables to see if they have the value I expect, especially array variables.

2. I want to see a list of my variables with their values and types.

Ok. This is where I am all ears, waiting to get <g class="gr_ gr_895 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-del replaceWithoutSep" data-gr-id="895" id="895">the sour</g>, "This is not Matlab," and then the sweet, "However, you can accomplish all this and more by _______ ."

Thanks in advance Community.
