Cant log in to VS 2017

Hi,

I am unable to sign in to VS. I can sign in online but not in the IDE (VS Professional 2017).

When I try I get the following message "We could not refresh the credentials for the account unknown_error: Unknown error"

looking in the service hub log I (usually) get the following message "Error : There was a problem getting the access token using the prompt with UI flow. Error: 'Microsoft.IdentityService.Clients.ActiveDirectory.AdalServiceException: unknown_error: Unknown error ---> System.Threading.Tasks.TaskCanceledException: A task was canceled."

this error also appears
Error : CreateAccount: Creating an account. QueryParameters 'site_id=501454&display=popup&nux=1&lc=1033'

I am not behind a proxy and I do not have any TLS/SSL disabled.

I have also tried deleting "AppData\Local\.IdentityService" but the issue persists.


I am out of ideas, any help would be appreciated.
