Hi,

I'm unable to run Web Tests in Visual Studio 2017 Enterprise Edition. I can see the web test and make any changes to its configuration. However, when I click to run it, I get the following error:

"The test cannot be run. Confirm that there is a solution open, and that the test you want to run is contained in the current solution."

All my other colleagues are able to run the web test without any hitches.

I have tried the following other suggestions already:

  • Upgrade Visual Studio 2017 to the latest version
  • Repair Visual Studio 2017 using the Installer
  • Perform a clean uninstall of Visual Studio 2017 (By running, `C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\Installer\resources\app\layout\InstallCleanup.exe -full`). After this, I downloaded my installer again and reinstalled VS2017 entirely.

Any help on the above issue would be greatly appreciated as it is currently blocking me from running any web/load tests in my team? I would be happy to provide any additional information in resolving this issue.

Thanks in advance.
