Hello,
Our visual studio 2017 users are not local admins on their machines. When they click the Update button they are prompted for admin credentials. I am looking for a way to automate this update.
I see there is a command line option for --Update included with the installer from an admin command prompt. I have tried this with the --passive and --silent modifiers but it doesn't seem to update the clients. Something starts but then vanishes from the screen with no indication that an update is running. The client software is never updated.
Does anyone have a suggestion of how I can automate the update on a regular basis for the users without Admin rights on their computers?
Thanks,
Matt
