I am unable to build and execute any VB project in Visual Studio both 2017 and 2019 RC and getting the error -
[Win32Exception (0x80004005): Access is denied]
[ExternalException (0x80004005): Cannot execute a program. The command being executed was "C:\Users\Madan-Kumar.Muthu\source\repos\TestApps\WebApplication1\bin\roslyn\vbc.exe" /shared /keepalive:"900" /noconfig @"C:\Users\Madan-Kumar.Muthu\AppData\Local\Temp\Temporary ASP.NET Files\vs\c6c84e28\fb9dcf05\kmr22vk4.cmdline".]
When i checked a similar solution in the forum and tried opening the vbc.exe as administrator getting the below error -
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
Path of the exec - "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\vbc.exe"
I am able to open another file csc.exe as administrator without any issue. Need urgent help as i am unable to continue work. Didnt have this issue earlier. Please advise if any further information is required.
