I just got Visual Studio 2013 Professional. When I try to create a new C++ project, it fails with:
'D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\VC\VCWizards\default.vcxproj' cannot be opened because its project type (.vcxproj) is not supported by this version of the application.
To open it, please use a version that supports this type of project.
I've tried doing a complete uninstall, CCleaner, reboot, and fresh full install, downloading VC2013 directly from the web site. I have installed Version 12.0.21126.00 Update 1 RC. I tried Import and Export Settings... | Reset all settings. None of these helped.
Visual C++ is definitely installed:
Visual C++ 2013 06177-179-0057171-02872
Microsoft Visual C++ 2013
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks, Dan
