Constant "Access is denied" errors across our TFS in VS 2019 CE

Hi there

we use Team Foundation Server for our source control. Over the past year or so, we've noticed more and more "Access is denied" errors when checking in and getting latest versions.

However, since we've moved to VS 2019 we get the error from literally every source control interaction. This affects all of our users, across multiple PCs.

Refreshing in the Team Explorer window doesn't help.

It's worth mentioning that the files are actually checked in and retrieved the second time we issue the command.

But our output windows look like this:


Settings.vb has been automatically checked out for editing.
Access is denied
No items were checked out
Live Blog Controls.vb has been automatically checked out for editing.
Access is denied
Replacing ***web.config
Changeset 7063 successfully checked in.
Header.vb has been automatically checked out for editing.
Access is denied
No items were checked out
News Panels.vb has been automatically checked out for editing.
Access is denied
No items were checked out
Right Panels.vb has been automatically checked out for editing.
Changeset 7069 successfully checked in.
Access is denied


Is there any solution to this? It's incredibly frustrating.
