Never seen this until a few days ago, but now when I paste something into the VS text editor, VS selects it for me. This means that if I hit Ctrl-v and carry on tying (as I have always done), it loses what I just pasted, as it was selected, and so got replaced with what I typed straight after.
As i have said, I have never seen this before, and have been working this way (Ctrl-v and type) for years. It's really annoying. Is there any way to disable this selection on paste?
Don't know if it's related, but around the same time, I noticed that after pasting, VS often loses the cursor, meaning that it can't be seen, using the arrow keys doesn't do anything and typing doesn't enter text until I use the mouse to click somewhere in the text editor. Not sure if this is related or not, but it's also very annoying.
Anyone any ideas? Thanks
