Hello, I'm having trouble updating visual studio 2017. Or for that matter installing visual studio 2019 either.
The sequence of events is that I notice I have an update in VS 2017 (pro) and hit the update button. It does some stuff and it says 'Unable to check for updates, please launch Visual Studio installer to check for update instead.'
I go to the visual studio installer folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\Installer) and run vs_installer.exe as admin and it doesn't work. More specifically it prompts me to update the visual studio installer first.. So I try that.
I press update and then...
That gets me caught in a loop of downloading/ verifying multiple times then failing to download the installation files.
It downloads and tries to verify multiple times ultimately resulting in it saying to 'Check your internet connection and try again'
The internet connection is fine during all of this.
I have already run collect.exe and have a vslogs.zip file for this machine.
