Question about visual studio versions

Guest
I work in a hyper secure location. We are not allowed to install our own software even though we are administrators to some extent. Also there are filters on the network that do not allow installs to reach out to other URLs to get pieces needed to complete an install. So, I had to request Visual Studio 2017 Pro from the higher up administrators. They compiled a version of VS2017 install that comprised all of the pieces and libraries needed to install it clean without going out to the internet (microsoft.com) to get pieces. When I got the "Authorized" install I installed it. To my surprise it was VS2017 Enterprise. I thought wow cool I got an upgrade! because I had purchased a license for VS2017 Pro. Well it was not. After a while I got a message from the ide that my trial had expired and I needed to log in as someone else or put in a key, etc, etc, etc. Needless to say, nothing I have done to this point has helped. I tried to install the correct version but since the install reached out to MS.com to get parts of the install it was quickly shut down by the network. I do not even understand why VS 2017 Ent would be ok with my organisation but Pro would need additional research / vetting before I can be given access to use it. I have a valid license for Pro but not for Enterprise. They gave me a copy of Enterprise that was supposedly vetted but Pro is not... So now I have a project due in December that I can not even start on until they vett the Pro version of VS2017 and build me a self contained version of the install. This could set me back a month or more. What can I possibly do to either downgrade my install or extend my trial of enterprise until this vetting process is complete?
