I can no longer check-in code to TFS

My security context changed and I got this very useful error message:

object reference not set to an instance of an object, when I try to check in code TFS.

I use Visual studio 2017 professional and TFS 2018.

There seems to be a trust issue with my TFS server how can I trouble shoot this problem?
