Blend for VS

Excuse me if this post is in the wrong forum. Just a quick question from very very new programmer. I have just started learning Visual Studio and VB.net. I happened upon "Blend for Visual Studio" and started wondering if I should/could be using it in place of Visual Studio. I develop mostly as a hobby for my church. I see that Blend may give me more flexibly with Android and Apple devices and it looks like vb.net is supported. Is there a down side to switching or should I just stick with VS?
