Good Afternoon,
Hopefully somebody on here has an idea as I've been beating my head against a wall trying to figure it out. I am trying to install Visual Studio 2019 - 16.1.6 on a Server 2012 R2 box. I've downloaded the entire layout to an offline network share. The visual studio installer starts and updates. The installer then attempts to start and closes. Checking the logs gives me the error: Failed to start host 'desktopClr$C94B8CFE-E3FD-4BAF-A941-2866DBB566FE'. I've installed it on a Windows 10 and Server 2016 box from the exact same network share. I've downloaded and re-downloaded just to ensure the download was not corrupt somehow to no avail. I made sure that that I used InstallCleanup -Full every time prior to trying a new install. Any information or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
NOTE: I've collected the VSSetup logs using the Visual Studio collect tool if that would be helpful in resolving this issue.
