A quick question about one-click deployment. I developed a few Windows Forms applications where I am deploying out to a file share with one-click deployment and startup (to be run online and not installed). We also use an application for Delivered Application called XIA links, which basically is a way for IT technical to deliver shortcuts to user applications based on their roles in the organization. Mostly these are ,exe files, web links to cloud-driven applications or web apps, or file shares to open a specific file.

Yesterday I had them add a few icons to the path that holds the .application file that will run my windows form applications, however I get the "Count not start the application. No application is associated with the speficied file for this operation".

Any insight? Maybe it is a matter of needing to install the application to the file server itself? Thanks,

EDIT: Our tech team, actually one person, figured it out. It was a XIA link configuration where he had to run file explorer first and that would allow the opening of the .application file.
