Printing bar codes on an Epson TM-H5000II Printer Using VB.net 2008

Is there anyone who would happen to know how to code the commands necessary to get an Epson TM-H5000II printer to print a Code39 bar code?

I am connecting to the printer using a serial port. The printer works for printing a receipt. I just need to add a bar code to the bottom of the receipt.
