I have been using vs2017 very successfully on my old windows7 pro computer to edit and maintain my website. I does not have any of the problems I have with my new windows 10 computer. So I do not think the problems below are in the server, but in the setup on my windows 10pro
Problem is that vs2017 will read the files on my web server into the solutions explorer but not open them or read them in my editing screen. For example my masterpage ins in a masterpage directory. It says it cannot find the master page even though I can see it in the solutions explorer. If I try to open any subdirectories in the solution explorer it says file not found.
Again I don't have this problem on the same remote webserver on my old windows 7 pro.
Is this a configuration problem that I can readjust? I have already uninstalled and reinstalled.
Also have the same issue with vs2015 on the windows10 only.
Can some one please help me?
