Can I give my VB.net code developed in Windows to a colleague who has a MAC?

I have written a program in Visual Basic dot net for windows. It is based on a theory created by a professor who uses an Apple MAC. Can I send him the whole project, tell him to download Visual Studio for Macs (if that exists) and will it work on his computer?
