Update my program version without losing data

HI

Sorry for my bad english.

I made a proyect in VB.NET and ACCESS database. I added a SETUP proyect to make an Installer.

My program was installed in my "client's" PC. (lol not a really client)

Now I realize if I update my proyect Im gonna lose data entered by user.

HOW TO DO in order to NOT lose data entered by user. (I know, now is too late.. but for future proyects)
