I installed Oracle Linux 7.7 on a local Intel client desktop. I started using them for my cloud service and it worked perfectly for me. So I decided to give Oracle a chance and see what I get on a local machine.
To my surprise it went well and easy with impressive install flow for desktop (though it is titled "server").
This is the first time I see KDE on my screen. It looks quite attractive.
So now, we could not care too much about pretty face.....we want to deploy....
How do we deploy? always the same -- I use latest Visual Studio on latest Windows and I remotely compile on the cloud and on my local stations such as Ubuntu, right here next to me. And now...Oracle REHL flavor.
I am stuck -- VS can not connect remotely to the local oracle Linux...Using host name did not work. Using IP got me connection item (instead of red rects) but VS on my Windows 10 does not connect.
Any ideas? Maybe you could provide some CLI to trouble shoot this problem.
