Live Share Co-Debugging not working.

I have a visual studio community project open on my desktop and my laptop is connected to the project through visual studio live share. When i try to debug the application on my laptop the desktop computer will run the debugger but my laptop will not. Is there a way to fix this so that if someone else was connected to my project that they would be able to debug on their end? I turned on the setting "Allow guest control" under co-debugging. Is there something I am missing?
