Access2016 Report working when display on screen, but not on printpreview

Hi all,

I have got a report that generates perfectly on the screen. However, if I try generating a pdf, it generates an empty pdf with just the report format and nothing else. When I try to generate a preview, it gives me a run time error of 2101 on setting a filter!! Just stumped.

The report contains a few sub reports, and I am using a variable which the report reads from a temporary parameter table.

I am teaching myself msaccess, so please be gentle, and thank you for any help.
