Had a Windows 7 Enterprise system with Visual Studio 2017 Professional under license.
Installed Windows 10 Professional, which not only wiped out all installed packages, including Visual Studio 2017, but even my old login folder since apparently it regarded Windows 7 users as fit for erase.
Now want to re-install Visual Studio 2017 Professional with previous license, but apparently Microsoft no longer makes old releases available, not ISO, not web installer, says "you have no packages to download".
Is there any way to re-install Visual Studio 2017 Professional?
Or must I now purchase a license for Visual Studio 2019 Professional?
My primary development laptop runs Windows 7 Professional, which I'm assured will NOT lose installed packages with Windows 10 Professional installation, but I cannot risk losing everything.
This is a nightmare.
