Hi,
Previously, I had a windows 7 laptop from my work. Few months ago, they upgraded it to windows 10 (1083 version). One of the application that I handle deals with VS2005. The update worked just fine and I could use VS2005 without any problems.
I got a new laptop last month with Windows 10 (same version). When I try to run the set up file for VS2005, it just doesn't go beyond the first click. When I click on "Install Visual Studio 2005", it tries to download the components, and then throws me an error on the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Setup pop up "A problem has been encountered while loading the set up components". Cancelling set up.
I have already googled it enough but could not find a solution. I have also looked at your threads about how VS2005 is not compatible with Windows 10. IT IS COMPATIBLE (I am currently using it on my old laptop with windows 10).
Please help get through this ! Latest versions of VS's are not an option for the application I am handling.
