Hi. I tried opening vs 2017 yesterday over vpn and today from our internal network and get a message saying my msdn (subscription) license has gone stale.
One of our infrastructure guys verified my subscription is still active.
we rdp into a dev box from our pc's to run VS. one person suggested I choose the guest network because the internal one may be blocking the lookup of my credentials on the internet for license info. I tried. I'm not sure the rdp'd to machine understood I came in from the guest network. But I have the same problem anyway.
I have a personal msdn acct but I think I used that for a free trial period of vs when I first got here finding out later that someone had forgotten to five me a subscription as an employee. I had no problems as an employee for about the last 6 months. A month or 2 of that was on the free trial. The rest on the msdn employee subscription.
I think I'd like to start by asking what is going on?
