Hi,
today, i tried to FTP into my provider where my production files and pgms reside. i got connected, and then i waited for a while to search about why this is taking so long, i went back to VS and the spinny and just for kicks i moved the spinny over my project, click and the sub folders appeared ?? i then went to my web.config, and clicked the spinny there, and the web.config loaded in the editor window?? why is this???
during my searching, i noticed that some people were having an issue with using FTP in VS 2019. Here is what I did:
1 – start visual studio (without a project)
2 – click continue without code at the bottom right
3 – go file, open, website
4 – click the ftp site icon on the left – you don’t need to put in any directory.
5 – then click open.
6 – user and password (same as filezilla)
7 – takes a while
8 – but the files will appear in the solution explorer pane
thanks for any advice
david
